April Athlete of the Month - Hillary Liddle

Hillary has been part of the Wilcox community for the past four years, and her journey is a powerful reflection of what consistent, intentional training can look like over time. From the very beginning, she approached her fitness with a long-term mindset, and that commitment continues to show in the strength, confidence, and ease with which she moves today.

Hillary and her husband, Topher, joined Wilcox after moving back to Maine, looking for something they could not only start - but sustain.

Her goals were clear: tone, strengthen her core, and build a routine that would last.
​

Over time, those goals have evolved into something even more meaningful. Hillary has built strength, improved her endurance, and developed the confidence to push herself, both physically and mentally. Just as importantly, she’s refined how she moves, gaining a deeper understanding of proper form and connection through consistent coaching and feedback.

​Even after four years of training, Hillary continues to show up with a growth mindset.

She’s focused on continuing to build strength, maintain consistency, and improve both her endurance and overall mobility. Her approach is steady, intentional, and rooted in long-term progress rather than quick results.

​Hillary’s biggest accomplishment is one that often goes unseen, but is incredibly powerful: she’s stuck with it.

For four years.

She’s built a routine that fits into her life, and that consistency has led to meaningful results:
  • Increased strength and endurance
  • Improved movement quality and body awareness
  • Greater confidence in pushing herself
  • And yes… visible ab muscles (something she once wasn’t convinced would ever happen!)

Her favorite exercises reflect her willingness to embrace a challenge. She loves anything on the TRX, especially Pike Planks, which demand strength, control, and focus.

Mountain climbers, on the other hand… still a work in progress. (A bit more tolerable on the TRX, but still earning their spot on the “least favorite” list 😅)

One of the most impactful mindset shifts Hillary has made is letting go of the idea that fitness needs to be “all or nothing.”

She’s learned that consistency matters more than perfection, and that giving yourself grace is part of the process.
That perspective has allowed her to build something sustainable.

She’s also motivated by how she feels after each session - stronger, clearer, and more grounded. Starting her day at Wilcox has become a powerful routine that sets the tone for everything that follows.

Hillary’s story is also deeply rooted in connection.


Her mom has been a huge source of inspiration, and after hearing how much Hillary loved Wilcox, she joined as well. Now, one of Hillary’s favorite parts of her routine is the simple, meaningful moments they share between sessions.


​It’s a reminder that this journey isn’t just about fitness, it’s about the relationships and support that come along with it.

For Hillary, Wilcox has provided structure, accountability, and a community she genuinely looks forward to being part of each week.

The coaching has played a major role in her progress, especially the attention to detail and individualized feedback that helps her move better every session.

Bree, in particular, has had a lasting impact. Through personal training sessions, Hillary built a strong foundation that continues to guide her today. 

In fact, she still hears those coaching cues in her head during workouts:

“Row over your front leg.”
“Head up, chest up.”
“Elbows to back pockets.”
“Use your obliques, not your arms.”

​It’s those small, intentional corrections that have made a big difference in her strength and movement, 
even if her obliques occasionally question her life choices 😅
​

​Hillary’s advice is simple, approachable, and incredibly effective:

Start small, stay consistent, and don’t overthink it. You don’t have to be perfect - just keep showing up.
Over time, the routine builds. The results follow. And the impact becomes something much bigger than you expected.

Hillary, we are so proud to celebrate you as our April Athlete of the Month.

Your consistency, your mindset, and your commitment to long-term progress are inspiring- not just because of where you are today, but because of how you’ve shown up, again and again, to get there.

You are a true reflection of what it means to move with intention and build strength for life.
