Karyn Sporer, a former college athlete and active professional, knows what it feels like to go from peak performance to painful limitations. After years of old injuries and exhaustion, she found her way back to strength and confidence at Wilcox Wellness & Fitness.

From Competitive Sports to Constant Strain

For most of her life, Karyn thrived in motion. She played college soccer, trained hard, and lived for that "post-practice high." But over time, the wear and tear of sports caught up with her. Despite her efforts to stay active with running, swimming, and yoga, something felt off.

"I just didn't feel good. Yoga left me sore in a bad way. I felt unfit and unhappy."

A Wake-Up Call at 41

Everything changed on a flight.

"I fell asleep on an airplane. My foot went numb. When I stood up, I aggressively rolled my ankle. I'd already had two surgeries on it. That was my wake-up call. I knew I needed help getting back into fitness."
