Hey Friends, this post will help you navigate the technology and set up to join our LIVEStream Training Sessions.  I will be adding to this as questions come up.

How to join a LIVEStreaming Training Session

This video will take you through what to expect and how to get set up for success in a LIVEStream training session.  Our complete schedule is listed on Pike13 with the ZOOM link to join.  To join, you need to be an active Wilcox Wellness & Fitness client and register in advance via Pike13. 

How to Download ZOOM

​How to set up your camera

The best practice in setting up your camera is to have it 6'6" high slightly angled down from you and then you stand back about 8 feet from the camera.  We want the trainer to be able to see your entire body - feet to head so that they can coach you properly.  You can do this by putting your laptop or phone up on a bookshelf or on a box on top of a table.  The trainer may ask you to adjust your camera angle so that they can see you but please try to get your camera arranged ahead of time so that you are good to go when the training session starts. 

Lighting is incredibly important - it would be best for you to set your computer or phone up in front of a window if you have a window.  If you set your camera up facing the window (with your back the window) it will be incredibly difficult to see you and coach you.

​ProTip: it takes a little arranging so use your 'photo booth' or photo app to get the angle right.  Here is a look at our set up:

How to set up your workout space

Try to give yourself as much space as possible for training.  The training sessions will be designed knowing that you are working out in your living room so will use little space.  You may want to clear out or arrange furniture to give yourself as much space as possible.

Playlists to Inspire You

We will not be playing music during the session because it would interfere with the audio of your coach.  We encourage you to download and play the music that inspires you.  The perfect set up would be if you have wireless headphones - attach those to your computer audio and then play your music in the background of your home.

How to Navigate this Website

ZOOM ProTips

'Pinning' the trainer will make it so that you only see the trainer throughout your LIVEStream Training session and so that the video doesn't 'jump around' while other participants are speaking.

To Pin a Video

1. At the top of your screen, hover over the video of the participant you want to pin and click ...
2. From the menu, choose Pin Video.

To Cancel a Pin

1. Click Switch to Active Speaker in the upper left corner.
