This week, we will be practicing the utilization of the ribcage rotating via those obliques to create movement! Very exciting!!!
The Lateral Step w/ DB Swinging Row will challenge you to keep your epic posture while utilizing your obliques to rotate your torso! One of the biggest keys to success of this exercise is to perfect the timing. When the dumbbell starts moving forward, it is absolutely crucial that you wait for the dumbbell to get to shoulder height before taking the lateral step. YOU CAN DO IT!! Patience is key, practice, practice, practice. You honestly do not even need the dumbbell or the step to practice this movement. You can even show your friends and family how much fun it is!!! I have a great feeling about this technique being highly successful this week! You all are looking awesome and techniques continue to improve week to week. Well done! Here's your checklist: 1. Punch the Dumbbell forward (arm straight at shoulder height) 2. Allow the Dumbbell to swing naturally behind you 3. Allow the Dumbbell to swing back to shoulder height naturally (do not 'muscle' it) 4. When the dumbbell is at shoulder height use the obliques to rotate the ribcage and 'row' the dumbbell 5.
