Do you have something that you have been thinking about starting? Have you been riding the fence on an important life decision? I could list the amazing twists of fate and strokes of luck that propelled my life to where it is today, but the best decision I ever made was to go all in with our business. It was probably the scariest decision that I ever made - I was leaving a job that I really enjoyed with lots of perks (think: weekly expense account sushi lunches… still miss that!) and I was making really good money with excellent health insurance. It was a #5yeargoal to join the business full time and we were at the 3 year mark. But the timing was right - the business was ready. I was scared.
- Then… my mom sent me this quote. Just… start. You know how your mom just gets you and knows exactly what to say in your moments of trepidation. I knew that if I didn’t make the start right then that I never would. So I decided to go all in - lean into the fear and fully embrace all the trembles and all of the uncertainty. And it has been the very best thing I have ever done. I truly feel like I am doing the work that I was born to do. I love my work. My work doesn't feel like work. - And through the business we have been able to build complete lifestyle freedom where we can work from anywhere and in T-12 days we are testing this out by taking our family to Costa Rica for about a month where we will live and work and soak in all of the culture. - Life is what we make it. It’s not always easy to make the start but in my experience, it has always been worth it. What are you going to start?

Much Love, Wilcox Wellness & Fitness 👋👋👋👋👋👋👋👋👋👋 We are BEYOND excited to welcome Adam Allen to our trainer team. Adam brings with him nearly 10 years of experience in the health and fitness industry and is super passionate about helping people live their very best lives. We can already feel that Adam is going to be a great fit for our community. From Adam:Hi, my name is Adam Allen and I am an ACSM certified personal trainer with nearly 10 years experience in fitness starting back when I was a physical training leader in the United States Air Force. After serving active duty in special operations I went back to school earning my Degree in Exercise Science with a concentration in fitness and wellness from Salem State University.
Being a personal trainer has been without a doubt one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Not only have I helped many people succeed in losing the weight and feeling better, but more importantly, the personal growth and self-confidence that comes with being more fit has been what’s truly not only changed the life of those I’ve trained, but for me as well. Delivering results and helping people to feel better about themselves and their workouts is what I love to do. I hope to make working out as fun and stress free experience as possible. Specializing in strength training, functional training, sport specific training, core exercise, and circuit training, I am an advocate of keeping people moving, getting their heart rates up, and increasing muscular strength. Remember, there is certainly truth to the saying that there is no elevator to success, only stairs. I look forward to meeting you and continuing the tradition of making healthier lifestyles. I truly love what I do and I am very excited to be a part of the WILCOX team! Happy Training! Wilcox Wellness & Fitness WILCOX Brunswick has launched their new training program with Training for a Cause - free group training sessions (with a donation to MidCoast Humane). Through this process, they have raised over $700 to support the organization. CONGRATULATIONS Allison, Paul, and Tennyson on making such a great impact so early in your local community.

Wilcox Wellness & Fitness Hey hey - it's me - Paige Wilcox - and that is me at an organic spice farm in India getting cool oil spooned down my spine. [Let me tell you - in the 100-degree dry heat - that felt AMAZING.] I am obsessed with travel, adventure, and culture. It has always been my #lifegoal to be able to live and work in different countries. I love the way travel opens you up to view the world in a different way and provides immense amounts of perspective. For the last 2 years, my husband and I have been working on our #lifegoals and planning a month-long live / work trip to Costa Rica with our 2 young kids - ages 4 & 1. We leave in 2.5 weeks - it is terrifying, exciting, and super epic. It’s going to be an amazing adventure! I am originally from Rangeley - a super small, beautiful town in the western part of the great state of Maine. I come from a family of small business owners - my parents ran a convenience store when I was growing up and I always knew that I wanted to own and run my own business. Not for the typical reasons of ‘being my own boss’ but more for the lifestyle freedom that you can build when you own a business. Costa Rica will be our first experience in ‘working from anywhere’ - wish us luck!

Tell me about your #lifegoals. What are you working on? What sets your soul on fire? Connect with us here, on Facebook. I’ve been interested in healthy living ever since I could remember. I always loved the way that exercise and good food made my body feel and I had a low tolerance for feeling crummy due to poor nutrition and lack of exercise. I am embarrassed to admit that I used to be a bit intense about my food choices. That is not to say that I didn’t LOVE the occasional cake, ice cream, or pub food (still do!!). But when I was cooking at home, it was all organic or bust. 100% homemade - even down to our salad dressings and condiments. I would spend hours in the kitchen prepping our meals for the week. I loved the process. 📸That’s Brookie making ‘the face’. It’s her thing now that she is 13 months.
Then, I became a mother and blessedly, I have loosened up a bit. I no longer have the time [ore desire really] to source our ingredients from 4 different locations. I still LOVE eating and feeding my family healthy, fresh, nourishing meals. Now - I just would rather play with my little nuggets than spend my life in the kitchen. I am in a phase now where I am finding a new balance. Taking shortcuts from the grocery store so there is more time with my kids and figuring out what tradeoffs I am good with making. Like, for example - did you know that you can get riced cauliflower in the freezer section now? AMAZEBALLS. Anyway - I am happy to say that I have learned a lot along the way so if you have questions, leave them here an I will be more than happy to answer! I am looking forward to connecting with you! Paige Recently I have been sharing myself more publicly. It’s certainly not comfortable but my goal is to connect with more people here in order to make more of an impact in this world… I am so happy that I made this shift. I have always been a person that loves people - I guess that makes me a people person. I would rather as questions and get the other person talking than share my own stories. Growing up, my mother told me that I could get a turnup to talk. This question asking approach works well in real life but it dosen't float as well on social media. I would post a question and... crickets... I am opening up more on social media and enjoying the process and LOVING connecting with people on this platform on a deeper level. Recently, I shared this photo and caption. Hey there - it's me, Paige. I’m a girl from Rangeley, Maine - I graduated high school with 18 people and I’ve been in the health and fitness business for almost 4 years. It feels weird to me to say that I am in the health and fitness business. I actually have a masters in business administration and never in a million years did I think that I would be in this world but I absolutely LOVE it! In honor of Valentine’s Day, let’s make this month’s edition all about love! You ready? There’s no food I love more than my mother’s lasagna, no actor I love more than Will Farrell no vacation spot I love more than Costa Rica and no ice cream flavor I love more than Ben and Jerry’s New York Super Fudge Chunk. I am Enneagram Type Seven - the enthusiast: The Busy, Variety-Seeking Type: Spontaneous, Versatile, Acquisitive, and Scattered (eek!!) I met the love of my life 13 years ago on a blind date and married him 5 years later. I definitely married up - Mike is my best friend and partner in all things and he knows the way to my heart is long talks of making plans for the future. Read the full post here... These are the connections that I made by opening up a little bit about myself: So... lesson learned - you get what you give. I will be giving more of myself online with the hopes of connecting with more of you!
Hope to connect with you soon! Join our conversation on Facebook or Instagram. Bye for now, Paige LOVE seeing posts like this from our clients who are #makingithappen. I love that Jacqueline makes the connection between training and life - that we can get used to tension in our life (and in our bodies) and it isn’t until we let it go that we even realize it was there.

We run our business a little differently than many in our industry. We require long term commitments to a training program to help our clients get long term results in a space where drop in training is the norm. We have a long(ish) and intensive(ish) onboarding process designed to set clients up for success and let them know what to expect along the way. We send a lot of emails that provide value around establishing a positive mindset and living your best life outside the gym. We dedicate time, energy, and resources to engage and connect with people on social media, meet them where they are and strive to add value. We have bazillions of free resources on our website to help get people started with healthy living in the privacy of their own home if they are not ready or they are too intimidated to join a gym just yet.
None of these things are revenue generating activities. But we are committed to continue to provide this value. We are about creating impact. Impact in our the lives of the people we serve. Impact in our communities. And impact for our our team. We are so proud of the business we’ve created, and we know that our tribe will always be on board with the way we choose to live out our values in the work that we do! The video below is a montage of our WILCOX Trainer Promise - the values the out trainers commit to deliver on inside each and every training session. We don't hire our trainers because they love fitness [they do] - but a lot of people in we hire them because they love people and they love helping people live their best life. And that makes an incredible community here at Wilcox Wellness & Fitness. We would love the opportunity to welcome you to our community. We understand there’s a good chance you never considered joining a personal training program. We get it. It’s easily something that people think they don’t have the time for it or it is cost-prohibitive to work with a personal trainer. But - we designed our group training program just for you. We know you are busy and that your schedule is different week to week that is why we have training sessions that run all throughout the day 5:30am to 7pm. That is why you only need to register for training sessions an hour in advance [and take yourself off the roster with an hours notice - for times when you get pulled into a last minute meeting or your kid gets sent home sick from school.] That is why you don’t need to commit to any one training time slot - come to the sessions that work best for your schedule on a week by week basis. And the pricing? It is important to us that you work with a trainer who will meet you where you are, coach you on proper form and technique, and care for you as an individual so that you get the best results possible. It is also important to us that you don’t pay a fortune for this service. Yes, we are more expensive than other traditional gyms. But we are not a traditional gym. We are a personal training business. Every time you train with us you are training with a full time certified personal trainer who is 100% dedicated to your success. Our trainers live, breathe, sleep, and obsessed over the client experience [your experience.] Most of our clients train with us 3 times per week and pay just $39 per week. We also have training programs that calculate out to just $26 per week. We would love the opportunity to get to know you and help you gain energy, confidence, and stamina. You deserve to feel incredible. So, be honest… are you ready to try something new? Schedule a quick call with us so that we can learn more about you, your goals, and what you are looking to get out of a training program. We are so excited to chat with you!
