Brookie and I are SO EXCITED to share with you our favorite healthy banana pancake recipe. I have been making these for the last 14 years and they are so good - using just a few simple ingredients. Healthy Banana Pancake Perfection:
Bananas Foster Topping (optional): Thinly slice a banana and cook on skillet with coconut oil and walnuts until browned and gooey. Directions: Mix all ingredients until smooth. Heat up butter or coconut oil in a skillet or fry pan; pour batter into fry pan making 4 small cakes. Cook until bubbles appear around the edges and the edges look dry; flip and cook the other side. Drop a 🙌 emoji in the comments if you are feeling me. But the coolest thing is that this year - humans are sharing a common experience – everywhere, all over the world. Our lives have been changed forever. There’s fear and uncertainty. We are ALL affected. It’s impossible not to be. For some people, this has caused a divide. For others, it’s brought people closer together. Without expectation or judgment, I just want to share with you today that I am with you in this whole strange experience. That I have chosen to engage fully in this collective we are in as humanity. It does no good to be angry, resist, or judge others. We need to be compassionate about how each individual feels about the situation and meet them where they are and help them feel safe. That is why, in our business - we are offering the option to continue to train with us via LIVEStream, OUTDOOR, and IN Person. We will continue to offer these options to meet our clients where they are at and help them feel comfortable as they work to become the strongest, healthiest versions of themselves.

We can't wait to connect with you and support you along your journey with healthy living! “I just let myself go.” Those were the words she shared with me in an emotional consultation after sharing a story full of struggle, self-loathing, frustration, and disappointment… She had put on weight and had been in denial about it for a while. She, like many people, had been on a rollercoaster of diets- weight loss, weight gain, restriction, over-indulgence. By a strange twist of fate, she ended up speaking with me that day and made the decision to be more intentional with her life and commit to healthy living once and for all. Have you ever been there? This is the experience the majority of our clients have when we first speak, before they’ve taken their first step. You’ve just got to get to the point where you are ready… and nothing that I can say or do can get you there for you. Unfortunately - you need to find a way to get there yourself. We are motivated by PAIN to change, and it’s in the moment that remaining the same feels more painful than changing that we’re actually able to commit. Sitting in the heaviness of her reality that day, she finally committed to making the change. She couldn’t imagine another week or another month feeling this way. So, she said yes to our training program and to herself. We worked on nutrition, fitness, and mindset… mostly mindset. She had the support and accountability necessary to follow through. The results weren’t just physical – getting back into old clothes, weight loss, etc. They were so much bigger than that… A newfound confidence. Proud of what she had accomplished. A closer connection to her husband. More energy to live life to the fullest. Feeling like herself again in the best way possible. Loving her body again – in a way she never believed was possible. This is what happens when you commit once and for all to healthy living. It is possible. And the results are magical. It’s not about the torture of giving up the things you love. We can't wait to connect with you and support you along your journey with healthy living! We all have subtle compensations our bodies make, which ultimately cause some sort of joint pain. The most common are in the knees, hips, back, and shoulders. Our training program works to ensure that your body is working optimally. These feedback bands are helping teach me where the common misalignments are through movement so that we can coach our personal training clients better. Typically, the compensation is hard to pick up on and needs a second pair of eyes to watch you move. I use video to watch for mine most of the time & I'm lucky enough to have some amazing trainers at the gym! I have a couple of joints that have caused me pain over the years that need some continuous attention to remain healthy. My right knee & my right shoulder. Today, I was working on creating better posture to keep my shoulders in their proper position, as well as strengthening the muscles that keep my knee from caving in. When our posture is not optimal (which mine is not) our joints get stress they do not deserve! Expanding & lifting the ribcage can help - I used a band wrapped around my ribs, worked to push out against my ribcage and at the same time lift my ribs off my hips, thus putting my spine in a better position. Apply this principle to your training and you will become a more powerful exerciser, helping you with balance, strength, endurance (you’ll be more efficient), coordination, and ultimately progressing towards healthier joints.
