Now, more than ever is the critical time to focus on your nutrition - to keep your immune system up, to feel good, and to keep you mentally sharp. I would argue that NOW might be the easiest time to focus on your nutrition - you have complete control over what comes in and out of your house, you aren't on the run as much anymore, and there is more time to cook and meal prep. And yes... I know it is a stressful time and that can trigger some stress eating but we can get on top of that by ensuring that we put the good in first. Today, in my quarantine kitchen, I am making chicken burrito bowls. This is one of my favorite recipes - it is always a little different and always delicious. I am sharing the steps here and you can get the ‘real’ recipe by downloading our most popular slow cooker cookbook. Hope you love it! Paige

Mike and I have been in it 24/7 for the fight of our lives to save our business, serve our community, and protect the jobs of our employees. What I have learned: - When it's do or die time... you just do. We had plans to bring our training program online... We thought it would take us 12-18 months - we made it happen in 72 hours. - You just have to show up. Show up in a dirty house, with screaming kids, jet-lag, and dirty hair. Just show up. - What is most important in my life: (1) the health, safety, and happiness of my family; (2) serving others through this difficult time. I am thankful for... - Our amazing team who have been training their hearts out this week. - Technology that has allowed us to bring our training experience online. - Our community - so many people have reached out to offer help, support, and encouragement. - Mike - you are always the calm in the storm, you bring such great perspective to every challenge, and there is no one I would rather be stuck in a crisis with. Lots of love for you all! Let me know how you are holding up or if there is anything I can help with! I think I am out of house arrest April 2nd. <3 <3 Paige
Our business plan covered a lot of things - a global pandemic was not one of them. In this interview with Cary Weston, we talk about innovation in the midst of a pandemic - how our business is adapting in real-time.
We definitely don't have it all right but we are learning on the fly, making it work, and letting our commitment to helping people guide us through this uncertain time. Hope you enjoy the interview. Lots of love! Paige & Mike Necessity is the motherhood of innovation. Mike and I have been working 24/7 to bring our training program to an online experience. My children are ferrel. My house is a disaster. But I am really proud to say that we are now LIVEStreaming our training sessions for our clients. We were LIVE yesterday in 2 locations and we trained over 85 of our clients via webcam. I am so proud of our team for delivering excellence today and trusting us to make this happen. I am so proud of our community for embracing this format in this difficult time. These sessions truly feel like you are right there with the trainer... less the travel time to the gym. We planned for a lot of things in our business plan - a global pandemic was not one of those things. But I believe that everything happens for a reason. I believe that what doesn’t kill us will make us stronger. And I believe we will all get through this together. Stay strong friends. Stay healthy. Stay safe. ❤️❤️❤️ Paige & Mike We are feeling so incredibly proud to work with this amazing team of dedicated fitness professionals. These are uncertain times for sure and there is no one else I would rather weather the storm with. It's been a little quiet from us lately here on our public social media presence but there has been a storm of activity behind the scenes as we develop contingency plans to keep our clients and our community healthy. So... just to catch you up - here is what we have been up to in the last few days... 1- Last week we went from increasing sanitization protocols, to limiting session size, to eventually closing the doors to our physical locations in both Bangor and Brunswick. 2 - Our family was in Costa Rica - we had been instructed to shelter in place and then on Monday a message came from Senator King's office to get home ASAP. We scrambled and got one of the very last flights out of Costa Rica on Thursday. It was a nail biter with 2 little kids. (Google flights from Costa Rica - there are none available - we are so thankful to be home!) 3 - We got to Bangor on Friday and got to work developing a program to LIVEStream our Training Sessions. 4 - Sunday we did a LIVE practice session with our team and it was INCREDIBLE - just like Mike was coaching us in the gym. 5 - TODAY our team will be familiarizing themselves with the tech and practicing delivering online training sessions all day. 6 - TOMORROW we are launching online LIVEStreaming training sessions. Here's a peek at our first ever practice session: WOW - a lot has changed in the last week. But I have to say, I love this community, I love our team, and I am looking for the good in every moment of this. I am so very thankful for you all. We can't wait to connect with you and support you along your journey with healthy living! People have told us that one of the things that most surprised them is that we recommend checking out the ingredients first- not the fats, not the calories, not the carbs. This is because, first and foremost, it’s the actual FOOD in your food that matters! If you see a bunch of preservatives or processed ingredients on the label, chances are pretty good that you don’t want to be putting that in your body, and that it belongs back on the shelf. For instance, did you know that there are at least 60 different names for sugar?! Check them out here: Pretty sneaky. Check out our new Food Label Guide for some of the most common names that sugar hides under. Not only that, but less-than-healthy fats also masquerade under a variety of names. (Tip: if you see the word “hydrogenated” in the ingredients list, put the food right back on the shelf! This means it contains trans fats. These fats can affect your blood sugar, cholesterol, and increase inflammation, as well as being linked to heart disease.) That’s just one reason we are a firm believers in eating foods that are minimally processed in their most natural state. This gives you SO much more control over the quality of food you’re eating! → (Get your copy of Cracking the Food Label Code here)
