I’ve been interested in healthy living ever since I could remember. I always loved the way that exercise and good food made my body feel and I had a low tolerance for feeling crummy due to poor nutrition and lack of exercise. I am embarrassed to admit that I used to be a bit intense about my food choices. That is not to say that I didn’t LOVE the occasional cake, ice cream, or pub food (still do!!). But when I was cooking at home, it was all organic or bust. 100% homemade - even down to our salad dressings and condiments. I would spend hours in the kitchen prepping our meals for the week. I loved the process. 📸That’s Brookie making ‘the face’. It’s her thing now that she is 13 months.
Then, I became a mother and blessedly, I have loosened up a bit. I no longer have the time [ore desire really] to source our ingredients from 4 different locations. I still LOVE eating and feeding my family healthy, fresh, nourishing meals. Now - I just would rather play with my little nuggets than spend my life in the kitchen. I am in a phase now where I am finding a new balance. Taking shortcuts from the grocery store so there is more time with my kids and figuring out what tradeoffs I am good with making. Like, for example - did you know that you can get riced cauliflower in the freezer section now? AMAZEBALLS. Anyway - I am happy to say that I have learned a lot along the way so if you have questions, leave them here an I will be more than happy to answer! I am looking forward to connecting with you! Paige
