I’m going to tell you a little story about a crazy week I had a while back. And I’m sharing this because I’m 99.9% sure you can relate.
My schedule was OUT OF CONTROL (due to circumstances beyond my control). Which meant: I didn’t get a chance to work out as much as usual My sleep was TERRIBLE … Anddd I was craving sugar like it was going out of style All of which made everything even more stressful, which made me crave even MORE junk, which made my sleep even worse, which made me feel too tired to train. And on and on it went. When the weekend finally came, all I wanted to do was order takeout, and binge-watch Anatomy of a Scandal on Netflix. 📺🍕🍪🍿🌮🍩 But then I had a little talk with myself. Yes, I would relax and unwind on Friday night. But I also knew that if I didn’t take ONE STEP … make ONE GOOD DECISION … to snap myself out of this spiral, I was heading in the exact opposite direction of my goals. So the next morning even though I didn’t want to, I drank a big glass of water before my coffee, at a healthy breakfast, and went for a walk with my kids. Which made it easier to take the next healthy action. 🙌Happy ending: By the end of the weekend, I felt like my old self again and was able to slide back into my normal routine.
