Slow Down and Learn Your Body
The key to progress is doing the little things very well. If you want to train better, you have no choice. The time you spend on the fundamentals, laying your foundation, dictates how you feel before you train, while you train, and after your train.
Here you will see our team starting off our weekly training doing the basics. We practice the basics before every session to remind ourselves what is most important. When we dive into the complicated movements while trying to maintain the connection, our focus on foundation wins every time. Every time.
This week’s Trainers Training Trainers (TTT) had us trying some new movements. Footwork, Core Engagement, and Posture are our foundation. With each practice round, you can feel things come together, movements become smooth, and confidence rises.
Our team has been hammering the foundations for months to even attempt some of these movements & it’s leading to massive gains in how our bodies are feeling.
Don’t be afraid to slow yourself down, learn your body, and be grateful you are able to exercise. It is a gift!
