You never know how much you appreciate your everyday life until everything changes! Hello, COVID-19...
Simple things... like a high five from your trainer, a training session in the gym, running to the grocery store for milk, or having 3 minutes of peace to yourself. (I'm talking to all the moms out there...)
I don’t know about you, but I’ve found myself feeling all the feels as a result of all the things...
When we got home from Costa Rica, I made a commitment to myself to double down as much as possible on my healthy habits, which always helps me feel more balanced and in control of my life.
It’s made such a big difference because it has given me a SOLID FOUNDATION to operate from!
When you have a firm foundation, it helps you to be PROACTIVE vs. REACTIVE.
On a practical level, that means that every day, I make sure that I follow the habits for massive impact - nourish myself well, drink my water, and train at least 3 times per week. I am also trying to squeeze in a little extra time for myself - sometimes that means 5am coffee with my husband before the kids get up, or sneaking away to read.
It’s had huge payoffs - when I am on point with these healthy habits, I feel more in control, I have more energy, I am a better mom and wife, and life seems more manageable.
